Mobile Museum and smallstrangestore at the AHA Festival of Progressive Arts

IMG_0741.JPG

The Mobile Museum and smallstrangeshop is a collection of things beautiful and unusual. This collection is our way of sharing our unquenchable curiosity of how human folk fit into the world of animal, plant, and spirit folk.

Many of the items in this particular collection come from the Graves’ family archives and the pretendplants are created from the imaginations of Place Projects. We are delighted to share a sampling of these never before exhibited curiosities with you at the AHA Festival of Progressive Arts at the Santa Fe Railyard Plaza on Sunday, September 17, 1-8pm.

Walking Church and Spectacular Entertainment at the Velaslavasay Panorama!

Here's the plan. We will meet at the corner of Echo Park Ave. and Park Ave., next to Echo Park Lake at 10:15am. We will depart promptly at 10:30am for a 3.5 mile walk (just over an hour) to the Velaslavasay Panorama at 1122 West 24th Street, Los Angeles, CA 90007. We will talk while we walk. We will see our city while we walk. It will be lovely.

Wear your walking shoes, sunscreen, a big hat, a parasol, a linen shirt, and whatever else will make your pedestrian travels more enjoyable.

Once we arrive, we get to explore the "spectacular visual entertainment" of the Velaslavasay Panorama! Don't know what that is? Let's learn more about it together! Do know what that is? Tell us more about it!

After we leave the Panorama, you can take the 200 bus or Uber back to Echo Park. We'll likely take the bus.

We can't wait to see you!
