Place Projects creates opportunities for people to be curious, creative, strong, and strange through group exploration and spectacle. Our aim is to cultivate communities of people who are actively using their minds and bodies to build lives of perpetual inquiry and growth. We are building events and public programs around suggestions and help from our ever growing connected community. Want to learn something? Want to teach something? Want to build something? Want to fix something? Participate by answering the question: What do you want to do?

Place Projects is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and in one way or another, so are you.

If you want to get more information about upcoming events, feel free to tell us about yourself!

Also, Alanna Herrera and Brendan Carn probably love you.

Explore below to learn why we want everyone to be curious, creative, strong, and strange.

Curiosity is the desire to learn more about something. We believe that curiosity allows people to discover the world around them, which can lead to understanding, empathy, and tolerance.

Creativity is using the imagination to make something and is an outlet for people to work through the questions of being in the world. We want to inspire people to tell their own stories, build their own systems, make their own worlds, rather than be observers of a life created for them by someone else.

Strength is being able to withstand great force and we want to inspire people to be strong by engaging their minds in critical thought and their bodies in challenging physical activities.

Strange is when something is unusual, unsettling, or unfamiliar. We believe that confronting the unfamiliar reminds people to question the world around them and can contribute to keeping an open and adaptive mindset.
